Moms in the south are known for tough-loving-care, or TLC, which happens to be the initials of my name- Tabitha Lauran Colgan.
I’m a mom to three boys, four if you include my husband, but taking on the TLC role of a mom started many years earlier. I grew up in a family defined by medical challenges. My dad had seven kidney transplants which required my parents to travel out of state often. I stayed back to care for my siblings. When I was 15 I started cleaning for my aunt to earn money for things I wanted.
But it would be many years before I would discover what I wanted in life–my passion–to serve moms. After my first son was born, I took on cleaning jobs. While I was tidying up a home, I would often catch myself dreaming about starting a business. Then a major revelation came after my third son was born. I realized just how thankful and relieved the overworked, stressed-out, exhausted moms were when I could clean their homes for them. I knew I was making a big difference in their lives.
It took a couple more dramatic life events before I could find the courage to move closer to my destiny. That’s when Tucked & Tidy Co. LLC was born, a premium home cleaning service families deserve!
As I grow my business, I look forward to exploring even more ways to show TLC.
